Digital for Planet

Digital for Planet is a non-profit organisation based in Zurich that focuses on the intersection of digitalisation and climate action.   As an in-house Visual and Web Designer my objectives ranged from creating visuals to support the organisation's digital communication efforts, animate digital assets for website and video production, participating in events all around the world as part of the on-site media teams, record and produce interviews with global institutional and industry leaders.

In House Visual & Web Designer
As an experienced in-house Visual & Web designer, my responsibilities where to manage day-to-day design projects from start to finish, participate in strategic communication meeting, report to the Head of Design and Head of Media, act as a primary brand guardian, translate business goals into creative materials, and mentor junior staff.

I led the realisation of branded templates on Adobe Express and Canva and trained colleagues with no previous design experience on how to use them, leading to a noticeable increase in the team's performance and in the company's communication outputs.
#DecodeGreen and Cody
During my time at Digital for Planet I have been entrusted with researching and designing the visuals for a digital campaign as one of the organisation's efforts to increase engagement with a broader audience and raise awareness about digital sustainability and its climate relevance. This lead to the creation of the #DecodeGreen campaign and my vision to bridge the gap between sustainability experts an general public: the brand mascotte "Cody".

International Events
As part of the Digital for Planet team, I participated in numerous events all around Europe and beyond. During the events, my main responsibilities were to make sure that we would always have a live stream of high quality material to publish on the organisation's digital channels. That means a schedule full of venue scouting, lighting and audio-video setups, lots of speakers to photograph and interviews to record.

All of that while meeting and having the most amazing chats with world leading experts in Telecommunications, Earth Observation, Robotics, AI, Digital Commons and International Cooperation

One of the highlights of there experiences was the trip to the 2024 INPACE Symposium, in Seoul, South Korea! It has been amazing meeting so many fascinating people and capturing the energy of the event with hundreds of photos and videos. Plus, we recorded 12 interviews 72 hours—quite the challenge!  :)

EU Funded Pojects
A big part of my responsabilities at Digital for Planet, I worked in the communication of numerous Research and Innovation projects funded by the European union under the Horizon Europe Fund.
The work was structured as of the one of an agency where my team was the project's leading member for communication and dissemination efforts, and the "client" was a consortium often composed by world industry and institutional leaders, like IBM Research Europe, SATCEN, University of OxfordQualcomm and many more.

For these projects, I designed the visual identity, created brand guidelines books, designed and developed the projects' website, animated 2D assets, created visuals for digital channels, participated in projects meetings, recorded audio and video, and edited numerous interviews.

I also created printed material such as brochures, business cards, stickers, roll-ups, banners, promotional posters and scientific posters.
I was Visual Communication Lead inthe following projects:
O-CEIEmbed2ScaleCOROB and 6G-NTN (for 6G-NTN I took over when visual identity and website where already established).

And helped with 2D animation, interview recording, photography, digital design, and video editing in the following project led by colleagues: INPACE6G4SocietyNGI Commons
